10Qs WITH KEEGAN SAUDER
How long did the doctors say you'd need to stay off the board after your recent ankle surgery?
10 years for an average man. I am far from average so recovery took only 6 months. Truthfully Dr. Previte said 3 months, it took me 6 to feel good about it, but wow does it feel better than before the rebuild.

Can you tell us a funny story about getting into trouble when you were a younger man?
Never got into any serious trouble really. Borrowed my friends old VW camper van that ran like crap to go to a lake. Spent 10 minutes tryng to pull away from a stop sign on the mellowest slope ever, kept rolling back, trying to get a run at it, and some guy pulled up right behind me, the van rolled back a foot as it died and cracked his headlight and scratched the paint, 1,700 bucks. That was trouble.

What is the origin of your dog Schmee, where did he come from and who named him?
He's from Vancouver and was named by his mom. His birthday is June 29 2005, I think that makes him a Cancer?

You ride for antisocial in Vancouver, how often do you visit there, and who are some of your bros on the team with you there?
I get up there every few months, see if any mail has arrived for me, it used to be my official address. Try to hang with as many people as I can, if they can, my visits have been way too short. I miss that place, summers are the best up there. Usually make it a point to hang with my old Polish downhill coach Wilhel. Without his guidance through the years I would be lost.

What's one of the most exciting times you spent with fellow Canadian ripper, Quinn Starr?
We put hot sauce in a fire once at 5 in the morning, sober, freezing, waiting for sunrise. It exploded and sent a hot mist into our eyes, we were excited! Australia 2002 on the coast of Queensland skating parks and camping with Dean John Finch was pretty sweet too.

Would you consider yourself to be more of a Man Wolf, or a Machotaildropper, and how would you explain the mindset of Blair Stanley to someone unfamiliar with his skate ethos?
Man Tail Wolf. You cannot perfect something that is natural, it just is.

If Mr. Spock wanted to induct you into the Federation Starfleet but you had mega-ramp over the Grand Canyon to get on, what trick would you do?
Rocket air. How else do you get into space?

If you were going to post something to your @saudermizer Twitter account, what would your hypothetical tweet likely pertain to?
Good question, I have only done two in the last three months and can't remember what those were about. Get back to me on that one.

What is Poler all about, and can you explain how you came to be sponsored by them?
Poler makes camping gear and nice t-shirts. It's for everybody that sleeps outside, or in a car, on a couch.........not just on the side of El Capitan. I sent them a video of me setting up tents in different spots that no one had slept at before, along with still shots of camp sites I had stayed at and left before having to pay the ranger. They liked it and hooked me up. I was going through sleeping bags like crazy, having them sponsor me was the best news ever.

Are there any Poler skate team camping trips in the works that you know of? Who would be on something like that if so?
Not yet, we are working on a camping video first, then we will tour. Me, McCrank, and Steamer just went on a wee mission up to Fort Bragg from S.F., if more people could have come that would have been amazing, but you take what you get and be happy.
